Nice. I have the Gulf Chevelle & the orange GT3 RS as well. Found both on separate trips to the grocery store.

Probably either they go to Mattel, or Mattel comes to them.

In the case of the 240z, it was Thomas C. Bork (owner and president of Doc B Racing) who posted the idea on a Hot Wheels forum, where a Mattel employee took it to the 'decision makers' for Hot Wheels, who jumped at the opportunity.

The car they used to create it was Doc B Racing serial #8, which Bork himself drove to victory at the 1997 Watkins Glen U.S. Vintage Grand Prix Enduro.

I had that Gulf Chevelle in my hand once. I PUT IT BACK. I haven't seen it since. I did the same thing to a black Edelbrock version of the same car. My two biggest regrets.
